DR. GOTH SIU
BHSc, DMD, MS, Cert. Prostho., FRCD(C), FACP
Dr. Siu is a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. He is one of very few dual boarded Prosthodontists in both Canada and the US. He is also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Siu is from Toronto and received his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his time there, he received multiple awards including the Academy of Osseointegration Award for Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry and the E. Howell Smith Award in Prosthetic Dentistry. He was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Honor Society and the Matthew Cryer Honor Society, the highest academic honor awarded to the top ten students in each class.
Dr. Siu is interested in complex cases and decided to pursue a specialty that would allow him to treat patients requiring reconstructive, implant, and cosmetic procedures. He believes prosthodontics is rewarding because it encompasses all aspects of dentistry and it can have the greatest positive impact on a patient.
Dr. Siu completed a 3 year specialty program in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received extensive training in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant treatment, computer-guided surgery, and conventional crown and bridge procedures. His area of research is in dental implants and restorations in the esthetic zone and his goal is to identify how patients see dental esthetics differently than dentists. His research is funded by grants from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Northeastern Gnathological Society.
DR. MARIO ROTELLA
DDS, Cert. Prostho., FRCD (C)
Dr. Mario Rotella is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.(C)), certified specialist in Prosthodontics. As such, he specializes in dental implants, esthetics and reconstructive dentistry, with emphasis on crowns, bridges and dentures. Dr. Rotella has presented his work in several dental meetings and he has, also, published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Rotella stays current through continuing education courses, lectures and peer-reviewed articles. In this way, patients always receive the best care, in a scientific and evidence-based philosophy. Dr. Rotella is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Dental Association, the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, and the American College of Prosthodontists.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist of Canada (FRCD (C)), where he also serves as examiner for the Prosthodontic national specialty board.
Dr. Rotella received his Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Siena (Italy), where he graduated with summa cum laude. After, he completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health, in Rochester, NY. At the same institution, he completed a 3-year Prosthodontic program and a 1-year Implant surgical fellowship, during which he also served as clinical instructor.
While in the US, dr. Rotella has received several awards from AIOP (Italian Association of Prosthodontists), AAFP (American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics), APS (American Prosthodontic Society) and from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health.
DR. MAX LI
DDS, MSc, Cert. Prostho., FRCD(C)
Dr. Li is a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics.
To begin his academic career, Dr. Li studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario in his hometown of London, Ontario. He moved to Toronto and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree graduating with Honours from the University of Toronto. His passion for prosthodontics led him to pursue a comprehensive 3-year Masters specialty program at the University of Manitoba where he concentrated his studies on fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. During his Masters he completed research in the area of implant dentistry with an emphasis on screw loosening complications.
Dr. Li incorporates current evidence and the latest advancements in dentistry into his practice through ongoing involvement in continuing education courses, academic meetings, and reviewing the latest peer-reviewed articles. He enjoys sharing his passion for dentistry by teaching as a clinical instructor and mentoring his future colleagues.
Dr. Li is dedicated to creating a functional dentition along with aesthetic smiles. He values combining traditional concepts with modern day techniques and materials to achieve the best results for his patients. His areas of practice include dental reconstructions on both teeth and implants with a focus on veneers, crowns, and full arch implant restorations. Dr. Li truly enjoys the rewarding field of prosthodontics and how transforming a smile can have such a positive impact on a patient’s daily life.
